Bertram 800
The 800 is Bertram’s biggest, baddest, and most sea-worthy yacht ever built. At 80 feet, this battlewagon is certainly a product of pure innovation and quality design. The Bertram 800 is very quiet, thanks to the buffer of crew’s quarters aft of the engine room and the underwater exhaust. The hull is exceptionally stout, thanks to a densely packed series of thick transverse web frames, a cage-like assembly of foam-cored longitudinals, a cluster of smaller stress-fighting stem stringers at the bow, several structurally integrated liners, a solid-glass bottom, and hull sides cored with 11/2″-thick Divinycell. Her running surface is a classic deep-V shape tapering to a transom deadrise of 12 degrees, a combo designed to split eight-foot seas with the efficiency of a fillet knife.

In addition, this vessel will be built for supreme sport fishing and Bertram is known to make fishing a comfortable experience, providing a fully equipped yacht for every fisherman’s needs. Longitudinal fish boxes will be placed next to the fighting chair to easily store any catch of the day. A larger rod locker storage on the port side will be incorporated under the spiral staircase for access from the cockpit mezzanine area.
