My name is Michael C. Kusler. I am the proud owner of Kusler Yachts.
After years of encouragement from satisfied clients, I decided to start my own company in 2010. Kusler Yachts has grown into an international team that has helped people from all over the world. Our customers hail from all over the United States—from Alaska and Hawaii to California and Maine to Florida—and abroad (Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, France, Italy, China, Japan and beyond).
The founding objective of Kusler Yachts was, “To give you what you want and when you want it.” After more than a decade, it remains the same.
Actually, this objective was central to our motivation to launch Kusler Yachts. Working for many years in the boating industry, I was surprised to see the lack of customer service after the actual sale.

Many first-time boat owners buy a boat believing that the purchase of the vessel is the final step. It is only then that many realize how many more things go into making the most of the boat and they lifestyle they wish to enjoy.
I began working with these owners to help save them time and money. With 50+ years of combined on-the-water experience, Kusler Yachts is dedicated to helping clients make the most of their boat ownership experience, in an efficient and professional manner.
Boating has been a passion of mine since childhood. I grew up fishing the Eastern Seaboard from points North off of Cape Cod to the Florida Keys.
My formative years include working in a tackle and boating dealership for one the country’s most renowned giant bluefin tuna fishermen. After high school, I attended and graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy.
I obtained my captain’s license while in the Academy. I worked summers as an assistant Harbormaster performing search and rescue and river patrol on the Merrimack River in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
After graduation, I worked in engineering and consulting for approximately 9 years. Realizing my true passion is boating, I decided to work as a San Diego yacht broker.
This turned out to be a perfect fit with my background and career goals.
