Big and beamy, with a meticulously executed naval architecture and hull design, the 52 Express runs smooth and fast, and remains remarkably dry in even the most challenging conditions. She carries substantial weight aft, further enhancing her balance and ride characteristics in following seas and waves. According to independent performance tests, she quickly spins up to 2340 rpm and registers an average top speed of 47 mph with twin 1,550-hp MAN diesels. Just imagine how fast you can get to your record-breaking marlin with the optional twin 1,675-hp Caterpillar C32 diesels!
Designed from the keel up with the needs of the avid sportfisherman in mind, the huge cockpit of the 52 Express includes a professional bait prep center, an abundance of tackle storage, a 75-gallon circulating bait tank molded into the transom, large-capacity insulated fish boxes, and much, much more.
As on every Cabo, the 52 Express includes an aluminum reinforcement plate molded into the cockpit deck for mounting a fighting chair. Gaff and tag stick holders are positioned under the gunnels, and five rod holders come standard. Self-bailing cockpit scuppers and an outward opening “tuna door” fitted with Cabo’s custom hinges enhance the cockpit fishing space.
